I fucking love this game so much ,I finished it 3 times in the last 3 days

also finished on the hardest difficulty

the villains are so good and the gameplay is fucking amazing

I hope it gets tons of dlcs

But the most horrible thing that happened to us was the Beast of Gévaudan. Even today, we still don't know what this thing was.

Brutal. Maybe another serial killer like Gilles Garnier, Blaize Ferrage or the Demon Tailor of Chalons (a necrophile/pedophile with cannibalistic tendencies who was condemned to a damnatio memoriae) who were all said to be werewolves.
We also had Peter Stubbe who was a farmer who comitted incest and many mutilation murders of women/children/animals and allegedly transformed himself into a werewolf with a belt given to him by the devil. Back then most serial killers were called werewolves/wolves.
We also had the Wolf of Ansbach which was a wolf who killed dozens of people. After the 30 years war many wolves got used to human flesh and cleansed villages.
Non the less Gevaudan was extremely interesting.

That's right, it seems to be a serial killer but the most curious thing is that, despite the King deploying gigantic means to track and find him, he was never found. And the Beast he used to commit these crimes, was exceptionnal, even today we have no idea what it was (a lion, hyena, massive wolf, massive dog ?). Also, the few survivors sometimes mentionned an armor the beast was wearing ; and the size of the Beast exclude any possiblity of this being a wolf.

I've read about Peter Stubbe, wow that's impressive ! We had one similar case around here : a guy was becoming very rich very quickly, and the Inquisition tortured him to know how he was becoming so rich. The guy told he had a pact with the Devil. He was condemned to the breaking wheel and then burnt alive near the French city he was living in. The most shocking thing is that all the citizen came to see him burning alive as if it was a circus parading.

After wars there was also many dogs who had lost their owners and became wild and violent towards humans. However it was not a nationwide problem like the dingos in Australia.

I found all these dark stories fascinating, as their testify about the morale and customs from the past.
