I think the fact that it doesn’t try to take itself too seriously while still having serious undertones is what I like about it, I honestly dislike that the remake of 4 removed so many of the corny one liners or overly goofy moments to play it more straight because re isn’t really about that
Let them go ahead and do it. For once I won't complain. I don't care about resident evil in the first place and it would cause a nuclear meltdown of the fanbase sure to last for generations.

Also, it is funny how the fans cannot figure out that "The commander" is NOT HUNK but a clone, just like Zeno is a clone of Wesker and Emily and Marie are clones of Grace.

Just like Gideon has said about Zeno being a bad immitation, the commander is a bad one from HUNK.
People have noticed how he is not being addressed as HUNK either and how he is dressed slightly differently.
That is because he is not HUNK. He is even quite daring and very cocky, unlike HUNK.
HUNK would play it safe and use any chance he gets to tale out Leon, whereas this bad immitation plays with Leon.
Just because he has the same voice actor does not make him HUNK, just like Wesker's voice actor does not make Zeno Wesker

Leon was a male power fantasy but not anymore. Especially since re4 remake. He became a foid thurst trap. Since they hired that romanian chad to do mocap for him. Thats why they made him more good looking in requiem despite being a 50 year old wizard. And cuckcom openly admitted that they had advice from female employees on his design. Leon before re engine was chad but not a gooner bait for jbs

lol foid isnt even the main character. I mean she is but you are playing as leon for most of the 2nd half of the game. Infact i liked the survival horror aspect more in requiem than leon action part. He just felt shoehorned in due to his popularity from re4 remake

The Leon action part felt like RE 6 all over.
Grace's part felt like RE 7.
Some argue that even RE 8 is better than this.
