Brutal Requiem for Gummy

The stars shine bright, yet tonight is bleak.

Goody goody gumdrops, it it another week?

Of desolate isolation, a white-hot searing hell.

I further recede into my gummy shell.



Satan seems to relish in my strawberry goodness.

Yet in that devil’s half-light I find no foids abreast.

Thumping within is a heart of passion, a thorn wrapped gummy chest.

I lie awake feeling each paltry beat, withered more and more.



So different from the lives around me.

A dry, soiled xerox, perhaps an anomaly?

And then I look upon a mirror and see…

The truth that stares back, casting me from Eden.



Battered by the sugar sweet.

A pungent stench.

And then I see.

My looksmatch is having much more fun than me.
