In order to enjoy the fruits of having the personality of a slayer (narcissistic and psychopathic "charisma"), you need to be good looking and sexually dimorphic. An ugly male who behaves arrogantly, rashly, and/or assertively will be hated all the more for it.
This is distinct from having the personality of a betabuxx (deferential and conscientious). You are expected to behave this way if you are ugly and/or neotenous, and open yourself up to exploitation by an entitled landwhale, who will abuse you much like Dark Triad Brad abused her.
