Is it all faith (aka you were just raised that way)

Did you BECOME religous due to your suffering?

Do you simply think "there must be something"

Do you just WANT there to be something?

I'm curious. As I became atheist around 12 or 13 due to severe depression caused by bullying and just general stress.

A lot of my lack of believe comes down to the whole zero evidence and scientific impossibilities of belief.

Also what is your faith?

I do question it. But ultimately I feel like there is something in the afterlife. Maybe with time I will see some signs, or maybe I am coping.

yes, you are
Ultimately, I want to reach my own sort of conclusion. The afterlife is a big mystery. Some say pure darkness, some say its other things.

Ultimately you only find out after your time is done.

Religion is cope. Theres no way youre 100% blackpilled if you still believe in that stuff

A good way to think about death is this: what was it like before you were born? Eternal nothingness. Nothing. Then all the sudden life sprouted thanks to biology.

Its scary. But theres nothing to fear

Religion is a mega cope created by the masters of all lies to manipulate humanity to do their bidding. The Devil is the only one who teaches you that you are your own god.

A lot of religious belief is actually related to intrinsic psychological attributes.

For example, autistic people are much less likely to be religious or spiritual, because of an exceptionally weak "theory of mind" as it is called.

The above is an extreme example but you get the idea, a lot of the time there isn't a common "reason" for faith, there just is faith, due to psychological make up.

if there is an omnipotent god, he can create a door that can not be opened.

if he can open this door, he is not omnipotent because he is unable to create a door impossible to be opened.

if he can not open this door, he is not omnipotent, because he can not open the door.

replace the door with a stone that can not be lifted, a computer that can not be turned on, or even a second god more powerful than the original.

The afterlife is the only thing that still makes me think about what there is after. Its legit not certain what could happen in the afterlife, it just isnt.

I am not tricked by (((them))) to cope with it. In fact I actually dont really care since finding a "virgin foid before marriage :soy:" is impossible, its more likely that I will be hit by some piece of the moon falling on my head, thats not my issue. Its only the afterlife that interests me.

Has to do the how logical and gullible and ignorant you are. Imho

I’m not religious but I act that way around family and friends of family. It’s ultimately just to please others and shut them up, nothing to do with God.

Makes sense. Lots of people do that

It really bothers me that, if we assume that God does not exist, all of matter/energy in the universe just happened to be there. Somehow I find the idea of an omnipotent, conscious, eternal being easier to accept.
My belief in God helped me get through a really fucked up childhood, if anything it's a great cope.

How does an intelligent wizard from nothing who wrote a book with lies in it make ANY sense?

Somehow I find the idea of God choosing to be born as one of His creations to experience their life first hand very compelling. I get that there's no logical reason to believe any of this, but I would say it had a net positive impact on my life. Belief in a reward after a life of hardship is a great cope. My values align almost completely with Christian values anyway.
Also, God himself didn't write the Bible, he simply inspired human writers to do so.

How invested are you into your beliefs?

Did you BECOME religous due to your suffering?

Yes.

Do you simply think "there must be something"

I gained certainty that there has to be something. It kinda clicked in my brain when i was contemplating death, how nothing cannot exist which implies the existence of an absolute something that is above all contingency.

It's kinda obvious in retrospective but it is a type of realization that seems to be brought about only when they are on the brink. It's basically an existential awakening. You end up realizing that the existence of God is actually obvious and logical and it is atheism that defies reason.

I guess enough for it to decide how I've acted on a few major crossroads in my life. I don't spend a lot of time on religious practices, I'd say around 3 hours total per week on average

Well, I want to ask you something.

How can you 100% follow your religion to the fullest when one of the main things regarding marriage is to find a virgin(impossible). Or will you just not get married?

There is a god, and his name is Blackops2cel.

Op and all the rest here,i only have two things to say.
1-Is known that people believe in something because they have fear. They need something to believe. That lead me to point two.
2-Religion is a lie we know that.Is justice and punish exist like god say, then people like bullies would get punished, for example. And well i don't believe in religion because is just a shelt. But i want to believe only and only in one person : ME.I want to believe in myself, the hell with religion, just a fantasy.Religion talk about bein a simple person, yet most of the churches have expensives decorations, statues etc.

Ideally I would find a virgin JB and marry her. But marriage with a non-virgin is not prohibited in Christianity. I doubt that I'll find anyone though:feelscry:

So what will you do then? You cant cope with the "just wait br00".

We live in times of great degeneracy. I see inceldom as a cross that I'm meant to bear, at least for now. I'll search for a woman within my means, it's likely futile though.

Everyone loves blaming god for all things going wrong in their life.

You do know there’s satan right? His number one goal is to destroy you and make you miserable.

Anyways... it’s illogical to beleive there isn’t a god. I can prove it.

Something has to create something.

Something cannot create itself.

Something cannot just wish itself into existence.

Therefore, the first something was created by a creator.

The Big Bang theory was invented by Satanic Freemason Scientiest to push the atheist agenda.

The Big Bang theory is laughable... a random explosion of existence out of nowhere?? Lol

Well... who or what created that first explosion of existence? A creator. Yet they conventiently stop asking questions about the start of the Big Bang just to fulfill their agenda.

This times a million.

Seriously religion is one of the biggest copes in existence. If you want to believe in some sky daddy be my guest. As long as you don't try and force your BS beliefs onto the rest of us I couldn't care less what you believe in.

As for creation of the universe, I'm going to assume alot of you never heard of the multiverse theory. Basically it's theorized we live in one of many universes. Alternate outcomes, possibilities, histories and versions of ourselves may possibly exist in an alternate universe. Now let's take into account about the many universes that may possibly exist. For every universe that harbors life, there's trillions or possibly quadrillions more that harbor no life, like for every lottery winner there's millions of losers before them, the same applies here with multiverse. So if the multiverse is proven true it'll crush that annoying argument about how the universe came to be if there is no god.

Another interesting thing Michio Kaku mentioned is that something CAN come from nothing. If God exists then it's possible God came from nothing, BUT this same argument can be used against theists by saying that the universe came from nothing as well.

Now if the multiverse is true YET we have a creator, I would be convinced that the creator/creators are people just like us. In other words we maybe in a simulation and the multiverse is it's biggest program. Like video games, the majority of video game characters are human or humanlike, what's the possibility that the multiverse was created in the image of the creators, I.E. computer programmers outside of our realm.

Case in point I'm willing to believe there is a higher power only with REAL evidence, not anecdotal BS, whether it be Allah,God of the Bible or some computer programmer only if evidence is brought forth. As of now I'm an agnostic atheist and will keep my stance on this until proven otherwise.

I would expect that most of us would be Athiest/Agnostic, but there are bound to be a few Muslims and Hindus because of how many Ethnics are here right?

Theists don't believe that God came from nothing, we believe that He is eternal.
I think I know what you're referring to, if that's the case you misunderstood Michio Kaku's claims. What he said is that there's reasonable possibly the explosion that we call the Big Bang has happened spontaneously, and that if you add up the energy and matter in the universe it'd come down to zero (the zero-energy universe hypothesis). It still doesn't explain the existence of forces that caused all of that though

No offence (because you made some excellent points) but you misunderstood some things about multiverse theory. While it COULD help explain coming from nothing. Multiverse still would follow certain rules. Some of which making god impossible.

But you're very on point. Just do more research.

Kaku is very smart but keep in mind hes a theoretical physicist. He also preaches string theory which he have good reason to doubt.

Anyway yeah god is cope and no more likely than me being god

Suffering turns some toward god and turns some away. It's the ultimate test which is why all of gods prophets were tested severely. Look at job, the most obvious example. Basically a rich Chad with everything who turns into a poor sick ugly man. But he still had a wife by his side throughout the whole thing which is bs. God should've taken away his wife and made him completely incel.

my suffering has honestly made me extremely bitter and turned me away. i see things for how they are. We are fucking animals pretending. Constantly in a state of suffering or chase. Constantly sad and Depressed animals bc We are stuck between carnal and spirit unlike other creatures.

I'm not really convinced about the multiverse theory. It sounds like a bunch of bogus that can be neither proved or disproved. It's not that different from the religious point of view. I'll keep an open mind.

My mom forced me to go to a Christian church as a kid, but I eventually stopped caring as I got older. I don’t go to church anymore but I still retain some faith maybe that’s just due to the religious brainwashing I received when I was young, I don’t know.

Still, I like to believe that there’s an afterlife even if it’s just cope. It kinda serves as insurance to me, if I believe in God I’ll go to heaven, if I don’t I’ll go to hell. If true I would be safe and secured. If not it wouldn’t matter, at least it would have helped me cope before I die.

Have seen proof of the Christian God multiple times. Great flood was real and ancient civilizations across the world all document it.

Flood myths are probably due to populations always being near water for obvious reasons, so creating a flood myth is not surprising.

So why doesnt science agree. Why dont historians.

It's not a myth. Scientist also documented a 400 ft sea level rise around that time, not that I give 2 fucks about what scientist say anyways. Dont ignore the accounts of ancient civilizations. They were here before us and experienced a less sheltered less covered up and secretive world than we do.

The oceans actually receded after the ice age.

They have never verified an supernatural account from any bible or religious story in all of history.

The flood did not happen.

Also if you're made in gods image why are you a miserible incel.

You can find the floodgates here. Those doors open up to flood the world and wash away all the degeneracy.

Sounds to me like you believe in evolution from the jew books.

Explain how two different genders formed if we came from bacteria ?

What about the first animal that evolved to come on land, what did it eat and how did it mate with another animal to reproduce?

All animals have 2 genders.

Also clear troll

Religion in general and Christianithy in specific brought an order to civilization, governed by a set of values, moral and a patriarchy that controlled the actions of the people. Not like the atheism that only brought hedonism and decadence to the modern world.

Some attack religion because of the "genocides that this made it", but Communism killed more people in less time, others attack because of "oscurantism" when they do not know that many of the modern scientists were Jesuits or part of the church (Copernicus or Newton for example).

In relation to the existence of God I have the position of "intelligent design", which in summary indicates that the cell is too complex to be created by itself from the union of inorganic matter.

And with regard to the nature of God is the Hyperborean Gnosis, which analyzes the enormous difference between the Jewish God (the demiurge Jehovah-Satan) and the Christian God (God of spirit and knowledge). The demiurge is responsible for the creation of the matter, he is not good, he just wants to create a world full of competence and natural selection (you can blame your "inceldom" to him). It is not is God is good or bad, he" just exist."

I'm a Christian Gnostic if you may ask.

I think spiritual shit is a good cope. There is something, I know it, I've felt it.

I think the Bibles allegorical though, I don't literally believe adam and eve were real people or the great flood actually happened or whatever.

God is... a source of strength and meaning for me. It's not His fault, I'm not blaming him for my problems, but I do ask Him to aid me in my struggles.

It just feels good. I honestly feel like even if God isn't real, if believing in Him helps me, it's worth doing. Maybe my belief in God makes Him exist. Besides, I've experienced some crazy feelings in my finest moments that are beyond my ability to describe. A sense of connection and understanding with the whole universe.

My recommendation for curiouscels would be to start off with transcendental meditation- you can do it alone in your room. Turn off the lights, get your room dark, sit up straight, and just make yourself still for a while. You could also go to a church, shop around and try to find a good one with people your age.
