It all stems from the OG false belief that you have an indestructible soul that's beyond your material being, beyond memories, feelings, sensations, likes & dislikes etc which were all created in response to material environment, People think they have unique characters, a unique soul with a special set of likes and dislikes and understandings but it's all false, if you put away all the physical levels of "character" we're all the same deep down, we are all NOTHING ∅

Another example is IQ, people think their iq is part of their soul, but even our intellect is material, it's a "thing" that can be reduced/ destroyed, people with brain injury lose part of themselves and become retarded, if IQ was part of "soul" it wouldn't be like this, and when we die our IQ rapidly drops to 0 and then it doesn't exist anymore, we will be lower iq than a plant, no understanding of anything will remain for there to be an experience of afterlife, seeing, hearing, THINKING are all material experiences
