They went full communist apologists on this /all thread, proving that they attach far more importance to their self-interest (most redditors are wageslaves who hate their rich boss) than to objective facts.
According to redditors, what caused the situation in Venezuela is "dictatorship", and not price controls, government meddling in the supply chain, money printing, or other attacks on the free market. Never mind that most dictatorships in history never experienced such market dysfunctions... And all socialist countries experienced them regardless of their political system. The poor guys who point it out are immediately downvoted to oblivion.
Pure folly. I'm not even against communism by the way (I favor a technological utopia with elements of communism), just shocked by so much bad faith and hypocrisy.
