Ever since reddit gave the users the ability to hide their profiles, the site has gone to shit. It's gotten to the point where I can't even search someone's comment history when I use the search feature. Looking at a users comment history is very important in my opinion, because it shows what type of person they are. If I don't know what type of person they are, I won't know who exactly they are. The ability to hide profiles has been a dealbreaker. If I can't do something as basic as see what someone commented, the logical answer is to just stop using the platform.
There's also the fact that reddit bans so many accounts and subreddits for no apparent reason. Reddit is anti-blackpill at this point. There's many double standards in reddit moderation. Now, making alt accounts on reddit and having those accounts stay up has been harder. Shadowbanning is a big one too. I could comment and think I commentod something, but no one will actually read the comment. So reddit is intentionally being not transparent.
The reason reddit got so much worse is because they went public, meaning they only care about shareholders and not us. The stock market is mostly a bad thing in my opinion. There's a reason many users hated it when reddit went public.
As a result, I put "I hate reddit" in my custom title. I no longer use that site.
Have any of you stopped using reddit recently?
