For example subreddits like r/politicalcompassmemes or r/2westerneurope4u where they can be racist and hateful to each other "ironically" are so unfunny and not clever at all. My guess is that the userbase there is 12 to 18 year old social rejects (future incels) who just discovered fringe politics and philosophy so they larp about how quirky and edgy that makes them.

I know because I was kinda like this from 15 to 18 years old
