I’ve got no issue with abortion so long as it’s done in a “reasonable” time window (I’m not qualified to determine when that window is, but at “some point” the developing baby gets a nervous system and can feel pain so that should be considered in my mind), but the reason so many people do oppose it often has nothing to do with religion.

So why are we making that assumption? I don’t share their view that life begins at conception and all, but usually the reason they oppose abortion is because they see it as killing someone and depriving them of a life that’s worth living, something in that vein.

This statement from her just seems intellectually dishonest to me, I don’t really follow why people are latching onto it so positively. Sites like Reddit show you two very unfortunate things:
1) the people in power/the admins and owners of the site are total buffoons who use their platform to cram their own world view / ideology down everybody’s throat — this becomes extremely obvious looking at their approach to content moderation and what they put in front of people via their algorithms (Twitter too, etc).

2) The broad userbase are all normies that don’t think for themselves. They just blindly regurgitate whatever view will let them be accepted by the masses and they hate whatever it’s “in” to hate. That or they just go for whatever is in their own self interest — especially women on these platforms are cheered on for saying some fucking retarded ass shit (note how all of the manosphere subs get nuked but shithole subs like 2xchrome are literally default subs and the women there are cheered for for saying the exact sort of sexist crap that women dump on men for saying lol). Society cares about one but not the other — how very curious that.

They could not have possessed the foresight to know that corporations would, one day, also fill that space, and have the same capacity for corruption and evil that governments have. The Constitution should absolutely apply to the large social media conglomerates and their cronies.

I also hate when people resort to the "you have a right to free speech, but that speech comes with repercussions" argument. That spits in the very face of freedom, and is itself, a fascist ideal. It's silence by coercion of social punishment/force. That's not at all what true Free Speech is all about. It is about the free exchange of ideas, wholesome and offensive, without any fear of repercussions.
