When I look it up, it says Bundy got "hundreds" of letters, only some of which had proposals. There were just about 100 million adult women in the USA in 1989, so that means fewer than 0.001% of US adult women sent love letters to Bundy. Compare that to a total of 21'500 murders in 1989 means an individual was at least an order of magnitude more likely to have committed a murder themselves than to have sent Bundy a love letter.

I mean those experiments have a sample size of hundreds or thousands while there are billions of people on the planet.
