as someone who has heavily struggled with pornography addiction for many years and who has recently made a vow to cut it off completely, i agree with the mainstream opinion that pornography is generally bad. of course i am not some clit worshipping male feminist who says this because “muhhhh it isn’t unethical and the women get exploited bro!!!” which is cringe as fuck, but rather because of the severe toll it has on your mental and sexual health. no one wants to feel tired, lonely, hopeless, and disgusted by what they watch.

however i find the type of erotic stimulation that women like (smut, sexual romance novels etc) to be equally as weird and gross as hardcore porn addiction. i remember talking to a girl casually (we were just friends, dont ban me mods jfl) and she mentioned how shes into that sort of literature and she sent me a pic of one of the books, it was like some wierd BDSM cover page with a ripped guy holding some girls neck (kekfuel), what surprised me the most was how casual they were about consuming something so intimate. usually people are reserved about what gets them off, you know manners and whatnot, but women are surprisingly so open about it, shit even the women in my family keep books like that around. i never noticed as a kid but the books my female relatives read for “enjoyment” were all these heavily sexualized books where the main heroine gets fucked by some rich machiavellian chad.

the rabbit hole goes even deeper than that too. i’ve seen some of the strangest weirdest kinks come out of these books (beastiality, gang rape, inflation porn). also saw another thread about some books written by an author about beastiality and dog rape lmao. so i find it comical how some women will simultaneously be avid readers of books like these but shun porn addiction, which is very real and a total detriment to one’s social progression, as an aspect of male failure that they should be ashamed of. i honestly think any kind of sexual addiction is gross and disgusting so having a superiority complex about just reading porn sounds like cope to me

Agreed, especially considering these types of books are on full display in grocery stores, bookstores, unlike porn which is more hidden. Weird how there is this double standard.

it’s a strange double standard considering the content of both smut and porn can be extremely taboo and “out there” but one is on full display in bookstores, homes, and reading it is a ((hobby)) while watching porn is taboo

Yes, but I think both should be equally shunned and taboo. It’s too normalized to watch and read these type of things.

I remember it being somewhat blackpilling way back in the 2000s decade to realize vore stories of being eaten by animals were a foid favorite. Was still too bluepilled and lacking proper context at the time.

Hmm, I agree that both should be equally shunned, but I think that both don't need to be shunned.

I don't think porn is any worse than e.g. overly violent videos and nobody cares about them as much. In fact, I would rather prefer if porn were more normalised because I would prefer to live in a society with a lot of sex to a society with a lot of violence.

Sometimes "normal" books also contain sex scenes. Smut just focuses on them. And in contrast to videos, where hollywood sex scenes are never explicit, in books they are usually equally explicit. (or ... maybe not as, but nearly so)

Yeah romance novels are disgusting tbh

foids hate men so much that they'd rather fuck vampires and werewolves
foids hate men so much that they'd rather fuck zombies

like ok foids but since you like the undead so much why don't you kys to try and join them

yeah the whole point is to basically expose that women are hypocritical when they “expose” men for liking stuff like ((barely legal)) porn and cnc when they buy books that have even more disgusting, wierd, graphic plots

Yeah tbh

weebs with gooncaves are weird but
