In case you didn't know, prisoners in solitary confinement are allowed to read books. If reading fixed social isolation, solitary would be a breeze.
Instead, it is an experience of psychological torture that is so horrific that many prisoners choose to reenter GP and get raped every day in their cell instead of having to spend their time in solitary.
Also, any time someone recommends reading a book, I want to disembowel them. It's so effeminate. It's the classic femoid idea of what it means to be "intellectual." It takes me back to my childhood when I was bored during summer vacation and my mom always suggested it.
Reading books rots your brain. At least the kind you're referring to.
When you tell us to read a book, you're not talking about an encyclopedia or a textbook or one of George Carlin's books.
No, you mean some faggoty fiction "dat openz a whooole newwww worrrrrld to you where you use your imaginationzzz."
Using your imagination does not make you smarter, morons. There's a reason every avid reader I have ever met is a complete moron.
Smart reading is looking through old newspaper archives and seeing that they were touting immunotherapy treatment for cancer in the 1970s, and going, "LOL! And 40+ years later, they're talking about immunotherapy like it's some new thing. They're never going to make any real progress on cancer. What a joke."
Dumb reading is letting the author narrate some fictional story for you for leisure while you adjust your neck 100+ times and your leg falls asleep. It's a passive process where you never practice critical thinking. Whatever the author tells you is automatically true.
I'll bet there's a huge correlation between people who read a ton of fiction and people who hit the downvote button on reddit and don't respond to the comment they're downvoting.
Telling an incel to "read a book" is also an indirect admission that reality sucks, and as a cope, you need fiction to temporarily escape how much your life sucks. This is what foids do in every facet of life, after all.
"I just heard a really good life-affirming platitude! Wanna hear it?" - Femoid.
