The engine does not work for non Resident Evil games. The only non RE game that actually runs well on it is Monster Hunter Rise, and only because it was originally designed for switch (which it ran poorly on) so it's easy to run smoother on high end consoles and PCS. The same is unfortunately not true for games designed using it targeting current gen technology. Monster Hunter Wilds and Dragons Dogma 2 both run like absolute shit on this engine.
Not only do they run like shit, but they look like shit too. The RE engine is extremely drab and muted when it comes to colors. Monster Hunter World was the last Monster Hunter to not use it. Just compare the environments in world to wilds and rise.
The colors are far more vibrant. Originally I thought this was simply due to the technical limitations of the switch. But, no! Monster Hunter wilds is just as muted when it comes to colors.
RE engine is absolutely destroying Capcom when it comes to visuals. They should've limited it only to Resident evil and used a separate engine for Monster Hunter and other games.
