Just got to Mexico and all missions are the same with constantly respawning enemies that die in 1-3 hits while always using similar weapons so you can't even unlock something new and better. Characters are forgettable and not very memorable maybe except that crooked boomer that sells fake health potions.
I really hate how much game forces you to stick to the npcs and don't let you to loot enemies/animals they get too far away and instantly fails the mission. What kind of freedom is that? This ain't western. It feels like on rail game, and they don't hide that with how many missions there are with you driving cart and shooting at never ending waves of npcs appearing out of thin air or minigun mission at fort (at least that one was somewhat fun with a new weapon).
Bounty system and police system is way badly designed and teleports npcs near you just like in GTA games but since you are using horse instead of a car it feels too much punishing. Npcs can see and shoot at you through the walls so you sometimes won't be able to steal something from homes.
^ Npc instantly noticed me through the wall despite having mask (it doesn't remove bounty you will have them even with taking it off)
Map is also damn tiny when compared to old gta sa or even gta iv or v two of them had way more detail while with rdr1 you see nothing but valleys, hills and deserts, just a couple of tons with not that many enterable buildings.
Zombie dlc is even worse they force you to drive everywhere with zombies that are just laughably easy to take out.
Shit is not great or even good it feels like budget games that yo could buy in mid-late 00s. Red Dead series was never good first or second game. Bothe were shit with it's gameplay. It's the most overrated Rockstar game to date that's for sure.
