RBG has just died and we're going to be inundated with think pieces from the media glorifying her for her role in the change of the laws and society and if you disagree with any of that you're going to be shut down as not only sexist but disrespectful to the deceased. But make sure of it they will show us how much of an effect someone like her can have over the society of a nation. I think that this would be an interesting time for us to discuss the effects that feminist laws and legal decisions (in relation to RBG and otherwise) have had in America over the course of the last few decades and how much that impacted society. Specific legal cases and laws will be good to talk about but you may also talk about the big picture.

I really hope so. If Trump gets someone through It'll be 5 conservative judges 1 undecided and 3 liberals. It'd take some time but if Roe can be overturned it would be magnificient.

Maybe. But supreme court vacancies really get Republican voters riled up, even some fairly moderate ones. People know that the left is awful on the court and so many people despise decisions like Roe. Also Trump's personality won't put people off so much in relation to the court as he only just puts someone on it and then they're independent of him.

Choose one and you have a demented toddler running the world's most powerful country. Choose the other and you have a cabal of unknowns running the world's most powerful country.

Trump is based. Scientific studies need to be critically examined, and scientist can have ulterior motives in how they present their data and interpret it. Maybe trump isnt the same man as in 2016, but he still has done good things during his term like limiting immigration and building some wall along the southern US border. If Biden gets in he will open the borders and step down to let Cabala Harris throw us all in jail.

Man, if disagreeing with a contentious legal decision (that many legal scholars have said is a bad one) will get you kicked off of r/politics, then I dont think I'd last there very long (doesn't seem like a place I'd want to hang around anyway). I can think of one or two things that I can say that wouldn't go down so well. It's impressibe just how soy-fueled all the big subreddits become over time
