the döner that is sold in europe, the meat tastes and feels dry and the bread is low quality. garlic sauce or spicy sauces are added to add taste because it lacks flavour, and those sauces themselves are gross. if you ever get to taste real döner, you will notice the difference

in turkey i guess, i don't live in germany so i don't know if there are any shops there that sell actual döner like it is made in turkey. maybe turkish butcher shops might sell it. real döner is usually wrapped in lavaş (a middle eastern-caucasian flat bread), or a thinner type of flatbread. and the meat is juicy and fatty. try asking for ''lavaş döner'' or ''dürüm döner''. if they put sauce in it it is likely that it is bad german döner. if they put this type of pickled pepper in it it is probably real turkish döner.
