Idk if you've ever been in one of these places but its basically a giant circle and demented people just walk in loops all day. I feel the same about most of french and german contemporary philosophy. It is just meaningless drivel to me, but there are people who live it and devote their lives to it. People have all different tastes and differently wired brains, of course you didn't enjoy that group discussion that was meant for... other kind of people.
