I remember that I used to have this cope "well, maybe no woman will love me but at least I'll have some male friends" only to realize soon after that men dgaf about hanging out with anyone once they find a woman, and couple years later I realized how much men look down on other men who don't have GFs/fiances, even if they are their friends. This was catalyst for me to eventually realize just how completely fractured and incessantly competetive men really are as a group.
