Here are a few examples of opinions on Youtube.
It’s great that they feel liberated and happy with their decision but what I have an issue with is when they look down upon people who don’t save themselves or are not “pure.” The girl was talking about how she was holding herself to a “higher standard” than other people her age and leads a “healthy life” implying that other people don’t and that’s where I don’t like it. Some people that practice this are truly condescending.
This is creepy. I had a wonderful relationship with my dad. He took my horseback riding, we did craft classes together, went to dinner and many more fun things without having to engage in weird stuff like this. This is more like a cult.
That's such an unhealthy relationship. It's practically arrange marriages.
This is really creepy.
This is absolutely disgusting. I'm not against celibacy but a parental figure, especially a father, should have no business in getting involved with children like that. Creepy af.
I've seen this. It's creepy beyond words. Where are the MOTHERS doing the purity pledges with their SONS? As always, hypocricy reigns supreme in America.
Pray for your daughters to get a good education. To put something good into the world. Not just to get a man and get married and have kids..... want more for your kids.
While the comments aren't all negative, these are just a few of the more popular ones. This video's comment section serves as an excellent example of why I feel so disconnected from society, I find these people to be so separate from my worldview that I've lost all capacity to relate to them. After reading some of these statements I'm having great difficulty suppressing the feeling of abject disgust. The enslaving concept of "purity" what a misogynistic construct!
