It's just a bunch of pseudoscience clickbait articles, usually with a very left wing/liberal bias like:
-"Studies show conservatives are more prone to have erectyle difunction and premature ejaculation"
-"Scientists from the *random university* show that women perform better than men in the workplace because of more emotional intelligence"
-"Revolutionary cancer treatment with cannabis is successful"

It must be painful being a STEMcel and see all those soyboys with liberal arts degrees saying "bruh I love SCIENCE!" but then they can't do the most simple integral or explain a basic law of physics with their own words Also they only like the cool part of science, as they ignore all the tedious research and failures behind each scientific discovery. It's also one of the best examples of reddit herd mentality, because if you say something against what the article says or that contradicts reddit hivemind thought, you're gonna get banned kek.

As a stemcel I can tell you it’s awful, half of it is social ‘science’ (not a real science) and all the studies cited are not and have not been reproduced, as only like 5% of social studies papers ever even get their findings reproduced lol, the other half is physics / chemistry pop science

I dont get why you have such a general science subreddit at all. If it is not very specific like the blackpill, you can find stuff like that with some quality in any scientific online paper

Funny thing: Most of them could never say what a p-value, a null hypothesis or an alternative hypothesis is without googling it (although this shit is high school knowledge). Even something as simple as a fucking t-Test would completely fuck them, not to speak about the methods for data analysis used nowadays by professionals (that even other professionals have trouble understanding). And then the data generation itself.

And then there is even more stuff like p-Hacking or other shit. As if any of these soys could really say something about statistical significance they would just say something about number X being bigger than number Y and then shieeet.

They probably wouldn't even know how to calculate a standard deviation or a SEM. Always pure cringe when I hear "science enthusiasts" (that think that science is a funny black man or Bill Nye) talking about statistics. But at least the opposite site is always the irrational one. I will one day drop my STEM degree and just go full on right-wing boomer or Ted Kaczynski mode on them when they come up with science on more time (just to piss them off because I am about to become unreasonable when it comes to redditors).

They have simply replaced the god they believe themselves to be above, to the god of feel good pop since and never question it.
Instead of the clergy they now have the "experts" and just like the peasants of old they have never read the holy text (raw research papers) and just listened to what was told to them.
