Not quite. they went private because the owner came back after mods messaged him and didn't like all the shit he saw. Suicide encouragement, bullying etc. His last post indicated his disapproval too.

Indeed. That is the point of the sub really. They claim otherwise but the constant emergence of such behaviour among users makes it clear. Andy wasnt particularly active. I think he just wanted things to be light humor or whatnot. I cant say for sure. But around the time that sub got shut, A handful of their mod team were very open about not liking what was going on.
Well IT users themselves have refused this despite it being the case. They created weird "he got hacked" conspiracies the day after. But unless they deleted them. The mods did put up some pinned threads asking people to stop encouraging suicide, to stop bullying etc. I think one told them to stop false flagging and making false content too. Ultimately it doesnt matter. It's a message that no one cares about outside of these spaces.
There was an old IT discord server that many of us used to frequent. After around a year or so. The mods who were active in the server sort of came to understand incels. Became friends with many of us. So I think that humanization made them realize "damn this is actually messed up". We werent short of content to show them.
In the last month or so before the sub went private, Max (one of their mods) told me to just send him anything that violated those rules over DM. I must have gotten a good few hundred IT users or so banned within that month. I was finding several posts/comments a day of that nature. Kind of felt bad for him tbh. Because he never wanted that. He infact created a different subreddit called "IdiotTears" which was supposed to take a better approach and pertained to just people in general online.
IncelTears think that their hatred towards incels is justified, because they think we all are violent misogynists.

I regard their opinions with as much importance as I would regard the opinion of a sevERely paranoid schizophrenic who comes to me and talks to me about the voices in his head.
In the same way I avoid intERaction with sevERely mentally ill people, I just completely avoid intERacting with IncelTears. Because I view people on IncelTears as mentally ill, and you can’t convERse with someone who lacks the mental faculties to undERstand basic truths about reality, who are so stupid and ignorant that instead they end up falling victim to programming done to them by the elites via media, education system etc.

The subreddit has been dead for three years. The majority of accounts that were once active there are probably inactive now. I checked it out and the amount of upvotes + participation is abysmal. They're also refusing to take down r/inceltear or make it private so the small amount of activity they have left is split between the two. There's a million other subreddits like incel tears that do the same thing now and are way more active and large with some over one million members.
