this is in regards to autistic fixations and hobbies:
do you have a long term, single main interest? or do you cycle sporadically between multiple?
i am of the latter, and i definitely see it as a net negative. i feel like if i could just focus on one of them long term, i could actually get really good at something.
like playing guitar for example, i will practice every day for a few weeks but as soon as i start to see real significant progress in my skill, i just get bored of it and wont even touch my guitar for another month. and when i pick it up again im back to where i started. brutal
