A man once called me "wahsh", that means "monster" right? Is that used as a compliment or an insult?
Not Arab but its Both. Depends on why he called you that. You're a gymcel right? They call guys thy workout and have huge muscles that at times.
It's more of a compliment to tell someone they did a good job. It's also often used in a similar vein to 'buddy' or 'mate', depending on the context.
Wa7sh is used more positively. I never seen it used as ugly or anything.
