Also if two asians are married but of different backgrounds (A Japanese man married to a Thai woman for example) nobody really considers it "interracial".
It's only an "interracial relationship" if the two parties are noticeably of a different race. At least, that's how it works in America. I'm sure it's different in other countries. For example, in Japan, a marriage between a japanese person and a korean would be considered interracial.
