I kinda hate how PUA has taken over the idea of approaching. Pretty much everyone assumes pick-up art is somehow the only way to talk to random girls in 2018. Everyone assumes rsd or some shit has the best """game""" (even if they dont think that personality matters). But, not only is personality basically irrelevent, puas also have the shittiest personality possible. Girls do not find dancing monkeys particularly fuckable.
PUA is a skill, though. It's the art of coming off sexually nonthreatening and being entertaining so women will give you positive social feedback -- which you can then show to losers who will interpret this as sexual attraction. Puas know how to disarm themselves and come off as sexually nonthreatening. This is what "being outcome independent" or "state" is. It's indicating to the girl that you dont care if you get laid or not. She's way more likely to give you positive reaction if she feels you wont take it as a sexual invitation. But it's a shitty way to get laid. Women find sexual aggressiveness attractive.
Then there's "giving value" or "positive mood" -- which simply means being entertainment until Chad arrives. Again, not attractive at all. But it will get you a positive response. I really wish we could detach approaching and PUA at some point. It flatters pick up artists way too much. Their concepts are designed to make ugly men feel like they're making progress -- while they actually become dancing monkeys.
