There are mentally disturbed people and modern medicine has created a field to deal with it. It doesn't work very well. But there's a need for a field and the field makes money for doctors - so it continues.
If there was a more effective alternative or if it didn't make money - it would end. Nobody cares enough about people to help or punish them just for the kicks.

Hard to judge because I'm not a specialist. Psychiatry is definitely more 'solid' than psychology.

Which is why it's not exactly a pseudoscience, it's a protoscience like astrology.
Astrology also talks about planets which exist. But astronomy is the real science.

Psychiatry is a failed attempt to treat untreatable problems. The problem domain is wholly unsuited to the scientific method, because objective observation is not even possible. How can one objectively observe delusions? The only thing you can objectively observe is speaking about things that aren't there, but anyone who has spoken in metaphors to a dimwit knows that they think you're having a stroke when you do this. Every single thing that psychiatry needs in order to be even remotely legitimate is either impossible to observe objectively or confounded in some way.
Then the state caught wind of this and realized that it was a way to persecute its enemies without going through the criminal justice system. The rest is history. Tl;dr: OP is bang on the money. It's fake and gay and it's being used as a side channel to persecute people.

You’re absolutely right. Anyone with real problems they try to get people to accept delusions and then pump them with brain altering drugs. In our case for example what a sane honest person would say is that our problems are real and valid and the system itself is broken and needs fixing not our “brain state”.
I mean yeah but usually the stuff in that vein is common sense and not anything you need a “field of study” for if you have any basic reasoning and observation ability of your own. What I’m gonna pay some “””doctor””” through the nose to tell me what I already know, to provide “””solutions””” I’ve already thought of, and then when inevitably the underlying issues can’t be fixed because they’re societal/environmental they just put you on drugs. The real solution is men banding together and acting as a unit for change but we get basically “union busted” and gaslit by everyone in society (including psychologists) to prevent that.
Also most of these psychologists are women now — that alone tells you most of what you need to know. Their interests are very very far aligned away from what’s good and helpful for men. There are Chad fishing videos where they talk to women that are psychologists or studying to be psychologists and they are usually dumb as rocks.

People who work in psychology are basically like cops, they just convince themselves that what they're told to do/believe is true/right. I don't think being a psychologist or psychiatrist necessarily makes you smart. People with these degrees are max 130 IQ if they get a PhD and actually that's not a very high IQ if you want progress.
You're right that they just put you on drugs but never forget that the purpose of the drugs is to give you diseases and such. It's eugenics. Never forget that.

If you want pills…….psychiatrists just write prescriptions all day.
Other than getting pills, a psychiatrist is a waste of time and money.
All of my problems would be instantly, and completely, solved with a social life.

Yeah I hear you man. Honestly some of the dumbest people I knew in my Uni days were women studying psychology. I knew it was a piss easy major comparatively to something real like STEM because I know for a fact all of the engineers could’ve breezed a psych degree while virtually none of the psych majors I knew would’ve lasted in a degree courseload like that for 6 months let alone 4 years.
A lot do women that go to Uni for psych degrees honestly are just there to “experience life” and party while hunting a rich Chad with a real job to marry seems to me.
A pacifier for soyciety so that you can 1. stfu and 2. die faster.
