But most the games look like shit to the point they're unplayable.

Also, 5090 is stupid but that's the case for every flagship GPU the past decade. They're really for work purposes, but it spread to gamers who need the best at all foolish costs.

Unplayable? You seem to have grown up with PS3 or some shit.

If you had any clue about the PS1 and the times back then you'd be in awe of what some developers have managed to squeeze out of it.

Also, they look "bad" on modern screens, but not on CRTs.

The good thing back then was that the lack of super high definition graphics an details forced you to use your imagination.

I read so many comments of people saying that this is how they saw the original as kids when playing a good remaster.

I grew up on 2D with Genesis, Master System, NES generation.

I really disliked early 3D, especially N64. It's so ugly and harmed gameplay. Like with Mario 64, I could never get used to the wonky camera and controls.

I have a 200 euro 6600, plays 95% of modern games on high+ settings. Also never draws more than 100W when fully active. 10W on idle (using youtube and stuff on multi monitor setup) It's good enough.
