do those distros all use grub

grub is a peace of shit bootloadER

endeavor is usually a decent working os

artix and any bsd are kinda obscure so i would expect problems

idk probably
they failed to show up anywhere in bios
try plugging the ssd into another computER then you can reformat it

I usually have to do that the other way (plug a fucked up windows drive into a linux machine) lol

I got my rainbow lgbtq keyboard to set to one color with openrgb

one of the few things that i couldnt do in windows (without some trash ass bloatware) but i can in linux

the yellow on these keyboards always looks like piss green

I can't stand Debian based distros

I use gnome and i3

I used to think gnome looked like cringe android tablet UI but nowadays I appreciate it's simplicity. I3 just enables blazingly fast and comfortable workflow. Gnome if I need to game

Never tried Manjaro but if you ever want something similar but with guided install and normal packman package manager you could try cachyos.

The only 2 desktop environments I found myself using long term were gnome and cinnamon. Gnome is macos like and cinnamon is Windows 10 reminiscent.

As for Arch, once I switched to it I could never go back. Having access to the aur makes it a breeze to use.

my kde broke today, now i cant wake up very well from standby :feelshaha: guess ill just have to yank the plug out the wall, OG style

no fixes for "QRhiGles2: Context is lost. " apparently lol

i suspect the nvidia driver is disagreeing with KDE

it's a "known issue" but no fixes sadly

Try getting into a wayland session

Try getting into a wayland session
fixed it by doing so

wayland mogs the shit outta x11, everything is faster and smoother. didnt know that

x11 always felt kinda clunky and half baked

the audio thingy is no longer laggy

it was laggy on like the last 5 distros i used lol

And it's only gonna get better. In theory Wayland should have less overhead and better performance due to it being "less streamlined. Though support for certain things is still missing.

I had a bug on Wayland with Nvidia where the OS would just be stuck at a low FPS vs X11. Really annoying, especially since I have a higher refresh rate monitor.

Somehow x11 works perfectly fine for me. Though, I've only tried KDE on \Wayland and I''m pretty sure their compositor or whatever is kinda heavy.
