In about 2 months time i start University and i'm totally dreading it. If it was up to me i'd completely swerve but ethnic parents insist and i dont know what else to do lmfao. Academia wise its a fairly good university and has decent job prospects, but the uni life seems like hell.
For context its a campus uni, which sucks since most other universities are embedded in cities/towns, but this uni is kinda locked away in a big forest, meaning i'll be surrounded by thousands of NT-tards constantly.
I had an offer holder day, where prospective students can visit with parents and oh my god, its was bad, really fucking bad. Not only did i not get on with my peers, but my couse (politics) is literally 70% women. Huge red flag but its expected since its a humanity subject, so im considering a switch to a more male dominated space like Econ.
I have been wondering as to how i can survive the 3 years without having to socialise with my peers, but theres a big emphasis on socialising, to such an extent we have something called 'Freshers Week', which is usually the first week for first years, where we have events/society fairs and the idea is ur meant to go clubbing and form a friend group before its too late. Only thing bugging me is, i'll have to network at least for career related oppurtunities which is gonna be hard asf because im socially handicapped.
Gonna be so brutal when im just sat in my room hearing a foid moan out load as some fluffy haired HTN digs her out whilst im trying to bang out GTA 6 in peace lol.
I guess i'll have to act for 3 years
