We are the prisoners that have been sent here for a crime that isn't our fault which is being sub 5. most people are here forever while some may escape.
The mods are prison guards who keep an eye on us and punish us for bad behaviour. if they think or know you did something wrong. they will give punishments Such as warnings and bans. being banned = solitary confinement.
Some prisoners may get along with certain prison guards and some may not.
Prison guards have their favourites which will give prisoners an advantage in not being punished.
Of course not to mention the prison guards are also in the same situation as us but they are trusted enough to keep the prison safe from any harm.

The biggest prison is our flesh and our genes. We are unable to escape the inadequacies of our own bodies and are forced to dwell in it. Forum mods aren't the prison guards, our parents are the prison guards. They put us in here on this earth in an incompetent body which they created.
