When older relatives/family friends try to assure you that "you'll find the right girl" etc etc what they cannot possibly comprehend is what modern dating has become. Hypergamy isn't even in their vocabulary. It is just ignorant optimism from people who where already married and bought their own homes at the ripe old age of 20.
