Tayuya was my least favorite naruto villain actually. Maybe there's someone else I can't remember. She was a snarky bitch, all her dialogue was 2nd grade insults. The spider guy Kidomaru was the coolest sound 4. As far as OG naruto villains go I disagree. Haku, gaara, kimimaru were great characters, but they were all naruto foils and all followed the same theme which is fine. But in terms of creativity, I think shippuden had more unique villains like Deidara, Kabuto, Kisame, while also retaining villains who were naruto parallels like Nagato, Obito... I will say I didn't like what they did to Orochimaru post Sasuke vs Itachi fight, he should've been more of a gray area cockroach who refused to die in the war arc instead of just a plot device to bring the hokage back.
Pre time skip gaara was also based. He was scary shippuden gaara just consoomed soy

I liked when characters were weak and still children. Kakashi and zabuza being on a different level as compared to naruto and gang was really nice.
Land of waves naruto was stronger than zabuza but alright. I just realized the only time I use .is these days is to defend naruto.

sasori, deidara, hidan, kakuzu, zetsu, kisame, itachi, kabuto, kaguya were not like that, really only 3 characters fit that description you made.
sasori does fit my description (he lost his parents), kisame also fits my description, same for kabuto. itachi was a naruto villain. but yes i guess that you are right for the rest
you're right about kisame, sasori didn't have a plan for the world nor did he want to change it he just wanted to embody a puppet since they didn't feel anything, kabuto also didn't care about what happened to the world, he wanted to build an identity for himself.

The pre-timeskip villains had a cool asian vibe and felt like a part of the world. You had the mercenary fag couple Zabuza and Haku who’re still memorable despite dying within their introductory arcs, the cool af looking sand ninja, the goofy sound ninjas then that psycho Orochimaru who’s basically Illumi Zoldyck on coke.
The sound ninja are shit personality wise but some of their techniques were way cool. I think a big reason why Kishimoto transitioned into shit like Pain and Uchiha wank is because editors pushed for big DBZ like powerscaling to attract spics and keep shonenkiddies entertained. IDK. Sasori, Deidara and Hidan/Kakuzu are good though.
The biggest mistake IMO tho is Uchiha wank, especially Obito who’s probably the worst character in the series. Him being behindd everything is incredibly lame + his personality is the worst of the worst 1d edgelord my oneitis died everyone must suffer cringelord crap. Danzo would’ve made for a way hyper villain, it makes no sense how Sasuke just insta crushes him when he should be the final boss. Think about it, this guy was behind the genocide and is behind so many fucked up conspiracies, his motivations of protecting Konoha are way more realistic than Obito’s edgelord faggotry and his crimes influenced a lot of the cast not just Sasuke.
His atrocities are far worse because they represent an actual dark side of the ninja, having Sasuke kill him and Obito be behind everything diverts the focus from his actual realistic insidious evil to an easymode giga evil villain scapegoat for Shitrutard to talk no jutsu and act like he’s a hero when he just sweeped all the real problems under the rug.
It also makes no sense for him to job like a fodder, this guy is the head of one of the most influential secret organisations he’s basically the CIA or ZOG of the Naruto world. He should’ve crushed Sasuke and brutaally blackpilled him destroying all hope. Teaching him that it’s impossible to change anything and people like Danzo will always be on top doing what ever the fuck they want, maybe even collecting Sasuke’s eyes for lulz

Plus the fight that gif is from turned into a grounded fist fest near the end of it.
One thing I will say is that seeing nardo and sauce fight with mechs was disappointing as hell.
I was so looking forward to seeing Sage Mode Nardo smack the emo duck ass around for a bit at least but we never got it,
