Why do you think raw numbers matter more than per capita? I've seen some state that the latter can be skewed by a small portion of extreme repeat offenders, but that applies to raw numbers as well, so I don't get the argument.

Where are you getting this info from? I've yet to see any reliable data on a nationwide scale comparing rates of child molestation by race that didn't confound things by counting Latinos as white. When it comes to rates of sexual assault, blacks are far more overrepresented than whites, I would think it's reasonable to assume they're also more overrepresented among perpetrators of child molestation
