If "Canada" chooses to become a republic then it should join the U.S. tbh. Unless if they plan to remain in the Commonwealth.

We have a separate history than America. We watch our own sports, have different traditional clothing (like mounties), have different histories of confederacies, have different people we remember to be significant in our history than Americans, etc.

Yes, but "Canada" for most of its history was a British colony with many "Canadians" (especially in Ontario and Québec) having recent British and French Canadien ancestry and that is tied to its national ethos as that is what separated "Canada" from the U.S.
They were loyal to the British Crown and the Empire and fought for the UK in the World Wars.
It would still become a presidential republic, and I could imagine if the U.S. was to break apart "Canada" would also fall with it.
America looks like it would break apart from the inside out before China ever gets to it. Idk how Canada would respond. We would probably try to make ties with other countries more, open/close American travel depending on context, and try to survive as much as it could.
Well, as @InMyCellInHell puts it "Canada" is subservient Chinese real estate, so China might use "Canada" as a vector to attack the U.S. since "Canada" is much more liberal and receptive to Communist ideas plus the already large and increasing Chinese population there. It's pretty much Hong Kong 2.0.
So why won't "Canada" fall if America follows suit. "Canada" is just as much of an ethnic nightmare as America is with all the immigrant groups over there not to mention the conflict between the Anglos and French and Québec wanting to break free, and the residential school disaster and the natives claiming "Canada" as an illegitimate colonial occupation. Even if the breakup isn't political like America, "Canada" could still be in trouble due to conflict amongst different cultural groups.
I think the racial tension here is almost non-existent compared to in America. The only people who actually got fucked are the native indians, while the french are just sorr losers.

I don't know, man. "Canada"'s diversity is pretty much almost on par with the U.S. except that there's virtually no spics up there especially in the major cities but you see minorities moving into the suburbs up there as well. What makes you think that it's different in terms of race?

I think Canada is one of the only countries in the world where immigrants and ethnics would for the right wing party in large numbers as well, comparable to left wing ones.
True, but there are many blacks who escaped into "Canada" from slavery here, and blacks nowadays always blame whites in "Canada" and everywhere in the world. You see that in the UK and in Europe when they blame them for colonizing Africa and enslaving them in the Caribbean. And then you look at the crime rate and quality of life in places like Toronto, London, Paris, Amsterdam, etc. and they're becoming comparable to many American cities due to immigrants.

I think the blacks who came here through the underground railroad to escape American slavery are mostly grateful. But most blacks here are immigrants from Africa, and don’t like to associate with black Americans. I have heard that in the UK many blacks are taking on the victim mentality of American blacks despite not being slaves there, but I honestly have no clue what that is about.
And spics make other immigrants look bad in America. When they mention minorities being oppressed, they always mention blacks and Hispanics. However, in Canada the sand niggers, curries, and rice immigrants do fairly well when they come over here. So that's where the whole "'Canada' is better than the U.S." meme came from. Too bad that "Canada"'s glory days are over. But, they never had a dream like that of the American Dream.
And much more immigrants still want to come here over "Canada" because we still have so much to offer that they can't get anywhere else even in another first world Western country, like Freedom and Liberty and democracy and capitalism.
All objective measures of freedom, democracy, and capitalism show Canada is ranked higher in all of these compared to America.
But America is the leader of the free world and a bastion of democracy. We are definitely freer as a capitalist republic than a socialist monarchy.
