I AM REEEEEEEEEEE. My mother is Nigerian and also has Jewish blood in her, so she has lighter skin. I have her Nigerian and Jewish ancestry, along with my father's Jamaican and Indian ancestry. I'm not black like an African American or a straight Nigerian man, I am a hybrid! I rarely go outside, so my skin remains like a dark caramel.

Im a gypsy mutt and i have similar skin tone as you. Many other gypsies are much darker than me, im like medium ish.

Very interesting. When I am outside, I notice a very big difference between full-blood Africans and myself (skin colour, build). I am a little envious tbh, I'd like to be either full Nigerian or full Jamaican, not this mess of a hybrid. My foundations are weak; I have a fractured identity. I always identified with being a regular black guy, but I now see that it isn't as straight forward as that.

My family members are paler than me and they worshiped pale skin, so i felt like the black sheep, yet other gypsies dont consider us full gypsies and doesnt like us much, for a reason probably. I also wish i was like the darker gypsies, they are taller, bigger, have stronger build, can easier pull off Arab style which is popular now.

It's quite interesting, we normally hear about people wanting to be lighter and fairer skinned because of societal standards/family pressure. If you were as light as your family members, and thus didn't feel like a black sheep around them, would you still wish to be darker?

Yeah, that way i would fit in with other gypsies better, honestly if they wanted a guy with paler skin they would date white guys.
