In my experience the "attractiveness" rating seems to function more as a "hygenic, happy, and nonthreatening" rating. I also weirdly got high scores with a smile. In another pic, I shopped a jaw and better hairline with a stoic look (I was objectively far more attractive in the pic) and got less than 30% attractiveness with comments saying "smile more". White knights and femoids on photofeeler are just calling nonthreatening happy people attractive, it makes them feel good about themselves that they value these things. It comes at no cost to them and they are rewarding someone for looking cheerful. It's a scam.
