yeah its official and idw (used to be archie but then an autistic lawsuit happened that i can tell you about if you want) are the american comic guys
ive hardly touched the comics even sonic the comic despite being from uk too. i dont read the main comics because i dont feel much reason to, but the writer for both archie and idw runs is now the writer for frontiers (thank god they changed the writers from the post-sonic colours guys).
