It is a 2013 game but why not, it is perfect.

Gothic I, damn it was one of the best games i've played so far.

PB's approach to open world design wipes the floor with most of today's (((open world))) games, including The Witcher 3, which took huge inspiration from the Gothic series.

Japanese games are immune to the SJW bullshit of the west. There may be female main characters, but they never put off that bullshit forced female empowerment vibe. DOOM, Space Quest series and Strife (the FPS game not the MOBA) Those are games I can think off from the top of my head which are old, fun, and can be played on DOSBox.
Although I recommend downloading ZDoom or GZdoom to run DOOM and Strife.
