Silent Hill 2

Silent Hill 2 is such a genuinely mediocre game and if gamers praising it actually played it, I'm 100% sure they'd become disillusioned instantly.
People just think it's a masterpiece because some YouTuber told them so.

It's just a pretentious arthouse game without any gameplay loop or fun action.

People only pretend to like it because it's difficult. Strip away the difficulty curve and suddenly it’s just stiff combat, vague lore fragments, and recycled gothic aesthetics.

I kinda wish I could play the dark souls games.

Only game I played was 2 a few years ago, and I ragequit at it like a loser

I tried Silent Hill 2 once. The atmosphere and environment were good but as I recall the monsters outside were quite repetitive, puzzles too in the spotlight for my tastes and the map was too restrictive.

So... a mixed bag.

No it’s good and it’s not hard at all. I’ve beaten it 6 times. So I like it for the game itself.

Yeah, posers like SH2 because it makes them feel mature and deep.

The combat is the worst in the series. It feels clunky, and you're given so much ammo and healing items that you never feel stressed.

The combat isn’t really hard. The challenge and tension come from having to walk back to the spot where you died. It doesn’t test your skill, it only tests your patience and disrespects your time until you get frustrated enough from repeating yourself to give up. That’s why posers like it: no real skill ceiling, just grind, die, repeat, and pretend you’re a skilled gamer.

My favourite horror games are probably FEAR 2 and Contagion. Fear 2 of course is not based on puzzles but instead on atmosphere, combat and also is fairly playful and doesn't take itself very seriously. Contagion is like Left 4 Dead crossed with classic Resident Evil.

I do like the environment in Silent Hill though as I say and I really enjoyed the movie.

I especially hate bioshock fans.

These fags actually think their deep, intellectual, philosophers because they play bioshock and get it
