Not all the races which would be considered "ethnics" are the same. Regardless, behavior can be entirely explained by DNA reacting to it's environment, so the answer would be both 2 and 3, with the primary answer being 2. While there are a myriad of different causes for the variation, my guess would be that it mostly comes down to IQ and testosterone level averages, as these would lead to the most significant differences in behavior.

Many people are trapped in cycles of dysfunction which work like downward spirals. If you're ugly, you'll have it tougher in the job market, then you'll be poor, then have to live among other poor people who are more dysfunctional on average, people who are born in such environments are usually hit when they're little (which makes people more violent in the long run), and so on.
