I know I'm replying to a post from 2025, but someone necrobumped this garbage thread and what I'm about to say still applies anyway.

One thing I've noticed a long time ago is that no matter how awful a user is or how blatant their trolling is, when they are ultimately permabanned (or even tempbanned) there will be people saying " FREE HIM". It's only ever a vocal minority though, the silent majority is always glad to see these people gone.

Some users here are naive and see every permabanned user as an innocent misunderstood truecel who deserves a second chance and was unfairly banned by tyrannical mods. Others just reflexively side with the underdog in any given situation, no matter how obvious that the "underdog" (in this case, the banned user) was in the wrong because they always see themselves in the underdog. And then you have users here who are well aware these users are trolls and actually like to see trolls shit up the forum with threads like this because they have the sense of humor of a 16 year old edgelord.

Normally I'd delete threads like this, but I'll keep it up as a reminder of how shitty this forum was in 2022-2023. I'll just lock it.
