I wasted my Saturday afternoon watching 3 hours of a "muh AI is bad" allegory.
There is one good actress in Rhea Seahorn, but all she does is scream at the NPC's like a Karen and repeat the same thing.
"No, I won't join you! What is wrong with you people! I have to save the world!"
And all of them, as a hivemind, just apologize and act nice to her. Or they spazz out.
Where is the villain? Where is the drama??? Where is the part where we have the character doing something and having interesting dialouge?
Breaking Bad started off with a bang immediately, and before the first episode ends we understand the character's backstory, his regrets, his goals, and what dangers lie ahead in the path he is choosing.
Here, the chick is an author, a lesbian, then the virus spreads, and she screams and cries about it, but there's no danger because everyone is her slave. Whoopty doo.
The show is just jerking itself off about it's own premise. It insists upon itself.
I feel like the main character when I see people online talk about how good this show is. The only good thing was the naked Polish lady in episode 2.
