If someone comes up with an idea in their head, why are they allowed pure ownership of such ideas? Because society said so? What if someone else comes up with those ideas without knowing the other person. Also, intellectual property isn't really property. Information is information, you can't steal an idea, it's an intangible thing. When you 'steal' an idea you don't take it away from someone else, they still have it. When you steal someone's car they no longer have their car, that is true theft and stealing.

Some could compare it to stealing music, but the people who created music PURCHASED A COPYRIGHT, did someone who had an idea pop into their mind, purchase a copyright? Nope, don't think so. To say that thought is their "property" is an entitled fucking mindset. They don't own it, you can't steal it from them, and society is full of bullshit mental gymnastics.

This is in reference to stupid people saying incels are entitled, nope, society is entitled.

We should clone foids without their knowledge so they could bitch about it.

Hardly any idea is original, nowadays.
The point is to combine many previously expressed ideas and make them logically correct and not too obviously stolen.

But they aren't stolen anyway. That's a flawed social construct.

It doesn't belong to anyone. This is not some tangible object.

Especially with things like fan fiction, the amount of writers and artists etc doing fan works, if copyright wasn’t a thing, we might actually get some half decent media

It incentivizes new ideas so that people can profit off these new ideas for a limited period of time. No one would want to create anything if they couldn't profit off of it.

At least that's the government's justification for it.
