Wasn't an anarchist. More like a eco - neo luddite.
luddites are pretty based I'd say if I got off the internet I think I'd be a lot happier but then at the same time it's a great cope for being an outcast.

Of course he was an anarchist, he opposed any kind of state.
Incorrect, he rejected anarchism alongside other branches of groups he was labelled with. He was their adversary as said by him.

Quotes from

All of the groups you mention here are part of a single movement. (Let’s call it the “Green Anarchist” (GA) Movement). Of course, these people are right to the extent that they oppose civilization and the technology on which it is based. But, because of the form in which this movement is developing, it may actually help to protect the technoindustrial system and may serve as an obstacle to revolution. I will explain

215. The anarchist [34] too seeks power, but he seeks it on an individual or small-group basis; he wants individuals and small groups to be able to control the circumstances of their own lives. He opposes technology because it makes small groups dependent on large organizations.

In depth writing of his criticism and him clarifying himself.

More information of his philosophy and beliefs;

Agreed

He may have opposed anarchists in the way they presented themselves as a contemporary movement, but his idealistic primitive world was stateless (hint: that means anarchist).

The assertion that the visionary philosopher Theodore John Kaczynski envisioned an primitive antediluvian community should not be conflated with an endorsement of anarchy without prudent reflection. A judicious analysis warns against oversimplification; a more sophisticated comprehension of his perspectives is favorable.

Lexical and political structures have evolved incrementally through the ages, rendering misguided any amalgamation of leftism with equality or presumption that socialism inexorably begets liberty. Similary, concluding his complete rejection of conventional governance coordinates him with anarchism would indicate lack of foresight. Furthermore, his aversion to an idealized yesteryear dissociates him from anarchistic doctrines.

Rather, his ideation aligns more congruously with primitivism, founded upon radical conservative dogmas. Primitivism incorporates the notion of a natural era ante lucem, echoing facets of moderate conservatism. Primitivism extrapolates this idea to an extreme by advocating for a reversion to a significantly earlier epoch.

Consequently, it is more precise to associate his literature with ideologies including "eco-fascism," the nova dextera, or radical conservatism, Neo-Luddism, or as some would say ' The Unabomber Right" rather than anarchism. By contemplating the more extensive context of his beliefs and delving into the intricate subtleties of his ideology, a more comprehensive comprehension of his ideological stance can be obtained. It merits notation that the term "anarchism" has undergone semantic and objectives shifts through history, potentially leading to divergent interpretations, which can contribute to perplexity and dispute.

While on a superficial level his vision entailed a stateless organization, a more rigorous hermeneutic reading indicates his philosophy cannot be reductionistically classified under the anarchist label.

His conceptualization of an antediluvian epoch sought not a leaderless system per se, but rather a communal harmony organically derived from humankind's atavistic affiliation with nature. Stripped of the corrupting influences of artificially imposed human political bureaucracies, this envisioned primeval milieu relied upon intra-communal consensus and ecologically-informed traditions - not an absence of all principles of order or coordination.

Indeed, true anarchism rejects even the informal, emergent guidance of natural proclivities and ancestral mores. His philosophy clearly incorporated an ethical framework informed by pre-hierarchical instincts, not a formless disorganization. Furthermore, contextual clues from his critiques of industrial "progress" and extollment of a prelapsarian natural symbiosis reveal principled opposition to anarchism's amoral rootlessness.

While superficially portrayable as lacking explicit hierarchies, deeper exegesis illustrates his paradigm in fact integrated ecologically-derived governance, not a thoughtless void. To label him an anarchist glosses over the nuanced role intuitive traditions and environmental ethics played in regulating his stateless ideal.

Also

When I came to realize that I had taken out on these little creatures the anger that I owed to organized society and to certain people, I very much regretted having tortured them. They are part of nature, which I love, and therefore they are in a way my friends even when they cause problems for me. I ought to reserve my anger for my real enemy, which is human society, or at least the present form of society.
Ted has made it clear he hates the industrial revolution and it's consequences

In his extensive talks, he also elaborated at length on positively acknowledging and applauding the inherent greatness and felt gratitude towards primitiveness as it had true freedom in a generalized sense
