the brain is limited and so therefore our consciousness is locked within the confines of our brains. There is no free will really. Everything you do deep down is from memory and genetic code. Sure you could play around with brain chemicals and body chemistry but the machine is still limited no matter how broad the possibilities seem. Physicallity = limitation. To tap into free will, you have to access a state of consciousness out of the body and detach. Really, you're like a giant machine and your soul is trapped in the patterns of that machine whether it likes it or not. Everything you do is just a programmed innate reaction to some other stimuli. Of course all of this snowballs into such complex trees of possibilities but still that's just an illusion of free will. The soul can of course transcend the confines of the machine and tap into a greater source of intelligence and consciousness. That's like getting into NDEs, OBEs and astral projecting. But even then, isn't that still the brain? Even when the brain is literally dead with no activity, consciousness is still experienced.

Sure you could modify your genes in the future but deep down, you'll still be running as some sort of program no matter how complex it gets.

Yes, pure cope.
In the end the universe is 100% deterministic and that determinism is not just limited to your own body.
Even all the outside events are unavoidable

You’re right. And even our desires are, what we believe is attractive, is out of our control

isn't quantum physics just inapplicable cope then?

We can take different routes but ultimately end up in the same destination :feelshehe:

I believe that the randomness in quantum physics is not actually random, we just don't fully understand the mechanics

But limitations is what has created us in the first place, it's what makes everyone a person, most of our personality is being dumb and not knowing everything and not being able to do everything, the "cants" are as important as the cans, absolute knowledge is the death of all character and individuality, it's equal to nothing at all, a white sheet of pure light has nothing in it, the darkness is what creates contrast and makes "things", immortality and infinite knowledge means death
