Have any Philosophers had any thoughts about Autism?

Autism is a new term to describe a neurological disorder with such breadth of manifestations that it requires an entire spectrum to aptly fit itself into. I think many historically relevant philosophers were autistic, however they likely predicated the conditions and traits of it under some plethora of terms such as genius and idiocy.

By the time the great philosophers put pen to paper, autism was never been described yet. But, I believe they did have some myths about it like the changeling myth but nothing written by philosophers. For all we know, most philosophers may have had autism too.
