The problem with pessimism and antinatalism is taking comfort in the idea of an imaginary state of nonexistence, but the brutal truth is, there's no such thing as nonexistence, there's no state of nonbeing, no sanctuary, no escape from existence, it's like a number between 2 and 2, it's just not there

Reality will always birth you, by "you" I don't mean specifically you mr xyz, but you as in the observer, it's important to realize you weren't really made by your parents alone, you were created by reality as a whole, your parents are just some parts of it, incarnation is real (not REincarnation), you (the observer) will always exist, because reality is solipsistic and it's the "software" and information we call existence not the hardware

Think about this, reality has already created you once out of nothing prior, it can and will do it again, the entire chain of events before you is basically just one thing, it can be different, but it always leads to the same thing, the mind that is you

And here's the worst part: Even if you "fix" earth and our entire reality from suffering, there's still other realities where you're born again out of ignorance, even when this universe reaches heat death and ends, there's still other worlds, because reality is a timeless constant MIND not actually the mortal physical matter, it can always start all over again...

The "demiurge" is like a quantum computer imagining every possible *thing* from a central pov, a central nervous system, we are the demiurge, we are God's imagination, and God cannot imagine someONE without fully BEING that one and living through them

Antinatalism is ironically too optimistic, because it takes solace in the idea that things can end and anything that can happen won't necessarily happen, but that's sadly untrue, anything that can happen, will happen in some reality..., things will never end, at least not entirely, the best you can hope for is memory wipe and "change", but not the deletion of the observer and a state of "being dead"

no demiurge for your face

Antinatalism makes 100% sense... I mean come on. Nobody can consent to being born.... you're forced into this world.... whether ugly, poor, disabled...... just bc 2 people decided to have a few minutes of fun? Inherently logical philosophy.

What people call antinatalism is just eugenics, you can never prevent your own birth

That's true but I meant more in the direction of "absolutely nobody should have kids"—exactly because you can't prevent your own birth. Only way to prevent it is if everyone has ZERO kids

My point is even antinatalism is too weak and optimistic, it's necessary but not enough, you can't take comfort in it

@CopingForEternity it can't be fixed AND it can't be prevented, there's no escape in any shape and form

well this thread took an unexpected turn huh

Until we can guarantee the child won't suffer then it is inhumane to birth it. 1/2 men and 1/3 women get cancer. That alone is grounds of mandatory antinatilism until we find a cure at the very least

ALL of it is cope because suffering is innate to existence, there's only different levels of suffering and minimising how much you can suffer
