I've asked two "Christian" women from my class how they reconcile their Christian and feminist beliefs, since Christianity is clearly patriarchy. They always use that excuse to cherrypick what they actually follow under Christianity (usually they don't follow it at all and they just use it as a cool identity label with nothing behind it). They take the smallest, most insignificant rules that are practically impossible to uphold in todays society even if you wanted to (like mixed fabrics), and they use that to justify any more blatant sins that go against the bibles intentions entirely.

Just at the very beginning of the Bible, in Genesis, God himself (according to the book, of course) says women will have to endure the pains of childbirth and be subservient to men as a punishment for what Eve did in Eden.

I.e. this isn't akin to a "minor" commandment from Leviticus, it's much more foundational.
