You could fit your entire DVD collection in a 2TB external drive and it would be much more efficient and cheaper. Also you don't watch the same movie very often unless you have the habits of a toddler so why spend money on something you won't use very much? Most movie collectors I see are consoomer skinnyfat bearded soyboys too obsessed with their favorite franchises they would buy anything to be the best fan or support creators.

And for vidya I have all the silent hill games, Kuon, Rule of rose, RE: Outbreak FIle #2 which have all doubled in worth since I bought them over a decade ago plus it's nice to have some nostalgic reminders.

You can get some big bucks for rule of rose Shitty gameplay but the game is saved by the story, music and graphics tbh. Played it a few months ago emulated and was a good experience.

The highest quality way to view media at home is with 4k Blu Ray disc, 4K streaming is inferior because of compression. Hating on physical media is actually a normal trait because most of them haven't even heard about 4K discs.

Anyway some people collect physical media because of the artwork anyway, for example steelbooks.
